HCSF COMMISSIONS PROJECTS IN PSIN

Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Mrs. Winifred Oyo – Ita, FCA, NIPoM, inspecting commissioned project in the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN)

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita,FCA, NPoM, has inspected and commissioned projects in the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN). The projects include the PSIN 250 capacity Hostel, PSIN Staff Clinic, PSIN Executive Suites and Staff Club and PSIN/ HIIT Computer Complex.

She also inspected the renovated and upgraded Muhammadu Buhari Auditorium, Yemi Osibanjo Hall, and Winifred E. Oyo-Ita Hall. The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation performed the commissioning and inspection on Thursday, 20th June, 2019 in the Public Service Institute of Nigeria, Abuja.

During the Commissioning of the 250 capacity male hostel, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita affirmed that the hostel which is built in a conducive and serene environment with security measures will enhance learning. She commended the dedication, commitment and hard work of the Administrator and his team. According to her it is their dogged approach and dedication to duty that led to the completion of the project that was abandoned for many years as a result of lack of funds.

While commissioning the Staff Clinic the Head of Service underscored the importance of good health to a productive workforce. This, according to her led to the provision of the PSIN Staff Clinic with the state of the art equipment including the provision of an ambulance by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. The clinic will provide affordable and quality healthcare to Civil Servants and Nigerians.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation assured that the commissioned PSIN Executive Suites and Staff Club will help workers to relax after tedious work in the office. This will improve the general wellbeing and efficiency of officers in service delivery.

The Administrator and Chief Executive Officer of the Public Service Institute of Nigeria, Dr Abdul-Ganiyu Obatoyinbo commended the efforts of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation in providing the necessary support to the Institute to enable it complete the projects.

He said most of the completed projects were made possible through the Public Private Partnership arrangement and the support of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation in line with the 2017-2020 FCSSIP
